For one lucky winner, we're giving away an amazing Horse Hair Pottery piece by Anna Whitworth of From Earth to Art, an official WilCo Pow Wow T-Shirt, and 4 tickets to this year's Pow Wow event!

This horse hair pottery piece was hand made by artist Anna Whitworth. This artwork is made from a porcelain based clay, hand thrown on the pottery wheel and hand-cut to obtain the desired shape. While still retaining moisture, it is trimmed and burnished several times. The piece is then dried, bisque fired, and goes into a final primitive wood firing to obtain background coloring and to reheat to apply the hair. The piece is pulled from the fire at a high temperature and the hair is applied to create the unique veining design. It is then cooled, cleaned, polished, waxed, and embellished.

Note: This is ornamental art and is not intended to hold food or liquid. No horse was harmed in any way to aquire the hair used in this artwork, it is part of the grooming process.
